PRIVATE BUSINESS interrogates the idea of the toilet as a physical space where individuals feel the most uninhibited and attuned with their inner selves. 

 

A space of ultimate privacy, as signalled by the universal act of locking the door, what was initially intended as a place that served a perfunctory purpose, has become a private sanctuary to confront our good and bad, beautiful and ugly. 

 

This series of photographs presents us with snapshots of individuals in this sacred private space, in their ultimate state of vulnerability.
